I loved this place. It's inside the Printemps store, the atmosphere is beautiful, and what we tried truly exceeded our expectations. They have specialty coffee from Devoción, and their pastries are inspired by the French colonies, so they have chocolate from Haiti, for example. They make everything homemade right there in the store.

Thought it was all for show—the decor, fixtures, showcase, and the presentation—but the drinks and pastry selection tasted even better than they looked! Special mention to their Pain au Goyave—simply amazing! Need to return and sample all the other stars on the menu… We got time!

Entrance is right next to wholefoods. Good service. Loved the focaccia. Matcha was actually super good. Strong and they had unsweetened almond milk available. Presentation was super! Table was available without reservations during lunchtime on a Monday. Good for small groups, it wally 1-2 ppl. Wish they had more savory lunch options than one focaccia, which was excellent though.

Cafe Jalu is the coffeeshop inside the newly opened Printemps New York, and it's just as gorgeous as the rest of the store. I couldn't do any real shopping, but I stopped in to check out the store last weekend and one of my first stops was Cafe Jalu. I got an iced americano to go, but I'd have loved to sit and enjoy my coffee there, because the cafe is really gorgeous and fun. If you need a coffee and you're in the area, stopping by for a coffee at Cafe Jalu gives you a chance to get a good coffee (with friendly service) and check out the new Printemps!
